A month later, Raja’s decomposed body was found in a deep gorge, and what was first believed to be an accident or abduction took a shocking turn when Sonam was arrested. Meghalaya Police revealed that she allegedly conspired with her former lover Raj and hired contract killers to plan and execute her husband’s murder during the trip.

The case refers to the murder of Praveen, allegedly killed by his wife, Instagram influencer Ravina Rao, with the help of her lover Suresh. The two reportedly met on Instagram, and Praveen often argued with Ravina over her social media addiction and suspected her of an affair. On March 25, after Praveen caught Ravina and Suresh in an intimate moment, a heated fight broke out, during which Ravina allegedly strangled him with her dupatta. Later that night, the duo transported Praveen’s body on a bike and dumped it in a drain about 6 km away, where it was recovered three days later, with CCTV footage exposing the crime.
