He started his acting career as Tv serial artist with the series 'Kaliveedu' on Dhooradharshan. Later he made his film debut in 1981 with Choothattam'. After playing supporting role in comedy drama 'Meleparambil Anveedu' he became popular among people. His breakout role in 'CID Unnikrishnan B.A., BEd' that proved how incredible an actor he is.
