'Jai Ganesh' to 'Gandharva Jr': A Look At What 's Next For Unni Mukundan After 'Malikappuram'

Unni Mukundan joins hands with filmmaker Ranjith Shankar for a new movie titled 'Jai Ganesh'. Touted to be a mythological epic, the project is expected to begin on November 1, 2023. If reports are to be believed, Unni Mukundan will be seen playing Lord 'Ganesh's role in the movie. The film was jointly produced by the actor Unni Mukundan under his production company Unni Mukundan Films and Dreams N Beyond. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan was last seen in the movie 'Mindiyum Parnjhu' released in theaters in June 2023 and received mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike.

Unni Mukundan will be seen in a lead role in Nazer Irimbiliyam's 'Mahal: In The Name Of Father'. Apart from Unni Mukundan 'Mahal: In The Name Of Father' also features actors Lal Jose and Shaheen Siddique in prominent roles.  The script for the movie was written by Dr Haris KT. Mahal and produced under the banner of IMAC Production and is produced by Dr Arjun Parameshwar and Dr Haris KT.  According to reports, the film is all set to hit the theaters in October 2023.

Bruce Lee is an action drama, is directed by Vyshakan and is written by Udaykrishna. Unni Mukundan in the siginficant role, 'Bruce Lee' will mark reunion of the actor and filmmaker Vyshakan after 'Mallu Singh'. The film is still in production and will most likely be released by the end of 2023.

Helmed by Vishnu Aravind, ‘Gandharva Jr. is scripted by Praveen Prabharam and Sujin Sujathan. Billed as a pan-Indian movie, 'Gandharva Jr' will hit the screens in multiple languages including Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil. The film is touted to be a fantasy drama, and it is undoubtedly a dream project for Unni Mukundan. Jakes Bejoy will be composing the music for the movie, which has Chandru Selvaraj as its cinematographer.

This is another upcoming movie directed by debutant Ullas Krishna and stars Unni Mukundan in the lead role. The movie Yemaha is produced by Jins Varghese under the banner of Big J Entertainment. The screenplay for the film Yemaha is written by Deepu S Nair and Sandeep Sadanand.

Unni Mukundan teamed up with  National Award-winning director Jayaraj for an upcoming Malayalam film titled Kadhikan. The film is also co-produced by Dr Manoj Govid under the banner of Wide Screen Media Productions. Along with Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Krishnanand, and Gopu Krishnan also became part of the movie. According to reports, the film will hit the big screen on August 4, 2023.
