Kasargold Box Office Collection: Hit or Flop, Review & OTT Platform

Asif Ali and Mridual Nair's action thriller film 'Kasargold' witnessed an average performance at the box office. Reportedly the movie has only managed to mint Rs 1.17 crore at the domestic box office after 2 days of its big release. The film hit the theaters on September 15, 2023, and received mixed reviews from critics. Helmed by the director Mridual Nair, 'Kasargold' marked the second collaboration of the director along with Asif Ali after 'B-Tech'. Apart from Asif Ali 'Kasargold' also features Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, and Malavika Sreenath in significant roles.

On the first day, the movie made a business of Rs 1.17 crore net in the Kerala box office. It also noticed the average collection at the box office. As 'Kasargold' is getting only mixed reviews from the audience, it is doubtful whether the movie would earn much more collections at the box office. On the other hand, Asif Ali's had three releases this year including 'Kasargold', '2018' and 'Maheshum Maruthiyum'. The multi-starrer movie 2018 was a blockbuster hit at the box office on this list. As per the reports, the movie earned Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office. His other movie Maheshum Maruthiyum was released in theaters and declared a flop at the box office.

Right now, it is not confirmed if Kasargold will be a hit or a flop. However several social media reports have revealed that the movie was a average hit at the box office, with mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. Speaking of performances, Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne grabbed the audience attention with their on-screen collaboration. Vinayakan had a hangover from his amazing performance in his movie 'Jailer'. It makes disappointment among audience, because they expected more from the actor.

The movie has a very good story plot that is inspired by real-life incidents that occurred in Kerala. It gets straight into the plot, creating curiosity from the very beginning. However, it fails to make the story unpredictable and many scenes may feel familiar to fans of this genre. On other hand, the movie is a perfect blend of action sequences and music.

As per the latest information, the film will be released on the OTT platform after 15  days of its big release.
