The KBC 17 promo shows a group of friends mocking a restaurant manager, played by Sumbul Touqeer Khan, over a food order. She confidently shuts them down by sharing a fact about Manchurian's Indian origins, leaving them surprised. Amitabh Bachchan then appears, impressed by her knowledge. Over the years, Big B’s association with KBC has only grown stronger, making him one of the highest-paid hosts on Indian television.

On July 3, Kaun Banega Crorepati marked 25 years since its very first episode aired. To celebrate the milestone, Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt note on social media. He wrote, “Today, 3rd July 2025, as I work on this year's KBC prep, I am told by the KBC team — 3rd July 2000, the first broadcast of KBC happened… 25 years, the life of KBC”.
