Menaka Suresh-Keerthy Suresh To Muktha-Kiara: Mollywood's mother-daughter duos that leave fans gushing with love

Menaka Suresh is one of the ever-green actressses in the Maalayalam film industry. She made her debut in the Tamil cinema with Tamil film Ramayi Vayasukku Vanthutta in 1979. Later, she moved into the Malayalam film industry and had built a successful acting career life in the industry. In 1987, Menaka married to producer and actor Suresh and had two daughters Revathy and Keerthy. 

The young daughter Keerthy who followed her mother's path and stepped into the film industry as a child artist in the 2000 Malayalam film 'Pilot'. She made her debut as a lead actress with 'Geethaanjali' which directed by Priyadarshan in 2013.  Her performance in the Tamil movies like 'Rajani Murugan' and 'Remo' had gained attention of audience. Later, she made her debut in Telugu cinema with 'Mahanati', in 2018 had received critical appreciation and accolades. For her stupendous performances in the movie, she won the  the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2019. 

Actress Lissy is all time favourite heroine of several moviegoers in the Malayalam cinema. She is best known for her performances in the Malayalam movies like Odaruthammava Aalariyam, Boeing Boeing , Thalavattom and Chittram.  The actress who had worked many superstars in the industry during 1980's. Apart from acting in Malayalam cinema, Lissy appeared in several Tamil and Telugu films. 

After marrying Director Priyadarshan, Lissy had adopted Hinduism. The couple had two children Kalyani Priyadarshan and Siddharth Priyadarshan. Kalyani is a familiar face to everyone as an actress in the industry.  Before become an actress ,she was worked as an assistant production designer. She made her debut in the Telugu cinema with 'Hello' in 2017. After success of her debut in Telugu industry, later she moved to Malayalam film industry in 2020 with 'Varanea Avashyamund'. Her another notable performances includes the movies names like Thallumala, Bro Daddy and Hridayam . 

Urmila Unni made her acting debut in the 1988 film 'Maratam'. After that she appeared in the lead role in the movie 'Sargam' had gained attention of audience. Born in a royal family, Urmila who had a strong passion for acting and dancing since childhood. Besides acting, Urmila is also a trained  classical dancer. She had attended several stage shows and events across the nation. 

Her daughter and actress Utharam Unni is also a familiar face among Malayali audience. Her performances in the Malayalam film 'Edavapathy' had grabbed the attention of several audience in the industry. Uthara is also like her mother, she is also a classical dancer who had attended several dance stage shows abroad India. 

Morethan an actress, Sreedevi is a well-known dancer among audience. She had appeared in the supporting roles in the several movies and Television series. Her daughter and actress 'Monisha' who got much popularity than her mother in the industry. Monisha, who had started her acting career at the age of 16 and received a National film award for Best actress for her debut film 'Nakhakshathangal'.

In her short career life, she had worked with several prominent filmmakers  Sibi Malayil, M.T Vasudevan Nair, Hariharan, Priyadarshan and many more. Leaving behind her family, Monisha  died on December 5 1992 , in a car crash in the Alappuzha district

Muktha is a popular actress in Malayalam,  who is best known for her performances in Television and film industry. She stepped into the industry as child artist and made her lead debut in the film 'Achanurangatha Veedu'. Later, she appeared in the supporting role in the movies such as 'Goal' and 'Nasrani'. Her daughter Kiara who also follows her mother footsteps and entered into the film industry recently. She made her acting debut in 2021 with ' Pathaam Valavu'. Helmed by M.Padmakumar,  Kiara who played the role of actor Suraj Venjaramoodu's daughter in the movie.
