Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira is written and directed by Althaf Salim, with Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan headlining the cast. The film also features Revathi, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Lal, and Vinay Forrt in prominent roles. If reports are to be believed, the film is expected to hit theatres during this year’s Onam season.

Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer is a highly anticipated Malayalam film set for release in the latter half of the year. Directed by Rojin Thomas, it stars Jayasurya and Anushka Shetty, with Sandy in a key role. The film is scripted by debutant R Ramanand and is produced by Sree Gokulam Movies as a grand pan-India project. Notably, a major portion of the film has been shot using cutting-edge virtual production technology. The technical crew includes Neil D Cunha as the cinematographer, Jungjin Park as the action choreographer, and Rahul Subrahmanian Unni as the music composer.

Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan lead the upcoming superhero film Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, written and directed by Tharangam fame Dominic Arun. The screenplay is by actor Santhy Balachandran, with a supporting cast including Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan. The film’s technical crew features Nimish Ravi as the cinematographer, Chaman Chakko as the editor, Banglan handling production design, Jakes Bejoy composing the music, and Yannick Ben overseeing action choreography. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his banner Wayfarer Films, the film promises a grand cinematic experience. 

Shane Nigam’s upcoming sports action drama 'Balti' is set to hit theatres on August 27, 2025. The film stars Preethi Asrani and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj in key roles and marks the directorial debut of Unni Sivalingam, who also penned the script. The technical team includes cinematographer Alex J Pulickal, art director Ashik S, and action choreographers Action Sandhosh and Vicky. Edited by Shivkumar Panicker, Balti is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla and Binu George Alexander.

Preity Mukhundhan, best known for her appearance in Aasa Koodu, is stepping into Malayalam cinema with Maine Pyar Kiya. The romantic thriller, directed by Faisal Faziluddin and co-written with Bilkefsal, also stars Hridhu Haroon. The film is scheduled for a dual release in Tamil and Malayalam.

This upcoming action entertainer marks the directorial debut of Paul George and features Antony Varghese in the lead role. Rajisha Vijayan plays the female lead in the film, which is backed by Shareef Muhammed of Cubes Entertainments, known for Marco. The cast also includes Marco fame Kabir Duhan Singh, Telugu actor Sunil, Jagadish, Siddique, and rapper Baby Jean. The film’s core technical team consists of cinematographer Renadive, editor Shameer Muhammed, and composer B Ajaneesh Loknath, renowned for his work in Kantara.

Hridayapoorvam is a family entertainer directed by Sathyan Anthikad, based on a story by his son and filmmaker Akhil Sathyan. The film features Mohanlal in the lead, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Sangheeth Prathap and Janardhanan in key roles. Marking Mohanlal’s third release of the year after Empuraan and Thudarum, the film has a screenplay and dialogues penned by Sonu TP. Anu Moothedath handles the cinematography, with art direction by Prasanth Madhav and music composed by Justin Prabhakaran. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner.
