Bheeshma Parvam
Megastar Mammootty essayed the role of God father named 'Michael' in the Block-buster movie 'Bheeshma Parvam', is actually a homage to the classic gangster drama film directed by the renowned film maker Francis Ford Coppola'. Directed by Amal Neerad, the film 'Beeshma Parvam' marked his second collaboration with actor Mammootty after 'Big -B'. Apart from Mammooty, it features an ensemble supporting cast which include Nadiya Moidu, Soub Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Farhaan Faasil, Angha, Lena, Harish Uthaman and Sudev Nair.
Varathan
The report shows that the Fahad Faasil starrer 'Varathan' was an unofficial adaptation of the psychological thriller drama 'Straw Dogs'. After the big release of the movie, many cinephiles say that the basic plot line of Varathan is the same as Straw Dogs and Amal Neerad has made some minor changes in its screenplay. The movie is about a couple named Abin and Priya , who move to countryside and end up in a conflict with the local people.
Anwar
If reports are to be believed, Amal Neerad's Anwar was an Indian remake of Hollywood movie Traitor. Actors Prithviraj and Mamta Mohandas featured in the significant role. The movie was an instant hit and was later even dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Traitor was directed by Jeffery Nachmanoff and released in theaters in 2008.
Bachelor Party
According to reports, the film 'Bachelor Party ' was copied from the 2006 Hong Kong action thriller 'Exiled'. The action drama directed by Amal Neerad and featured an ensemble cast including Asif Ali, Rahman, Indrajith, Vinayakan, Nithya Menon and many others.

Mammooty starrer 'Big B' was inspired by the Hollywood movie 'Four Brothers'. The plot of the film revolves around Mary's cold-blooded murder and her four children's search for the culprit and their quest for retribution. John Singleton was the director of the film 'Four Brothers'.
Sagar Alias Jacky Re-loaded
Actor Mohanlal played lead role in the film 'Sagar Alias Jackey ' is one of the best stylish gangster drama ever made in Malayalam cinema. Directed by Amal Neerad, the film is sequel to the 1987 release blockbuster Irupatham Noottandu. If reports are to be believed, the climax scene of the movie was copied from the Hollywood movie 'Swordfish'.
