OTT Releases This Week: From Dhurandhar 2 to Exam: The System Exposed, What to Watch on Netflix, Prime Video & More

Dhurandhar: The Revenge (also known as Dhurandhar 2), directed by Aditya Dhar, is set for an OTT release between May 14–15, 2026. In India, it will stream on JioHotstar, while internationally it will be available on Netflix under the title Dhurandhar The Revenge (Raw and Undekha). The film stars Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, and has already made history by becoming the first Hindi film to cross ₹1,000 crore net at the domestic box office. 

Kartavya is a Hindi-language crime drama directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. Set to premiere on Netflix on May 15, 2026, the film stars Saif Ali Khan as Pawan Malik, alongside Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, and Manish Chaudhari. The story follows a dedicated police officer caught in a gripping moral conflict between his duty and his family’s safety after a failed protection mission, and despite its digital release, it is officially classified as a film. 

Inspector Avinash Season 2 premieres on May 15, 2026, exclusively on JioHotstar, with Randeep Hooda reprising his role as super-cop Avinash Mishra. Directed by Neerraj Pathak, the new season is darker and more intense, set in late-1990s Uttar Pradesh. As Avinash battles a growing weapons cartel led by Sheikh and Devi, the stakes turn deeply personal when his own son is caught in a murder case, forcing him to confront betrayal from within the system. 

Vimal Khanna, releasing on May 15, 2026, on Amazon MX Player, is a highly anticipated crime survival thriller headlined by Sunny Hinduja, alongside Isha Talwar and Tara Alisha Berry. Adapted from Surender Mohan Pathak’s iconic Vimal Series, the show follows an ordinary man who is wrongfully accused and stripped of his identity, forcing him into a dangerous web of betrayal and corruption as he goes on the run and fights back against a system determined to destroy him. 

Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, a Malayalam psychological thriller-comedy, started streaming on Netflix on May 13, 2026. Set in a remote forest border house in Wayanad, the film follows Sethu, a simple government health worker who cares for his bedridden brother Madhu, paralyzed for years after a tragic incident. As Madhu struggles with hallucinations and believes a deceased relative is still alive, Sethu goes to great lengths, including impersonating the dead man, to keep him stable, leading to a dark yet intriguing mix of psychological tension and situational comedy.

Cup – Love All Play, a Malayalam sports drama starring Mathew Thomas and Basil Joseph, is set to stream on ManoramaMAX from May 15, 2026. Originally released in theatres on September 27, 2024, the film follows a young badminton player from Idukki as he navigates ambition, competition, and the challenges of mentorship. 

Exam: The System Exposed is an upcoming Indian crime thriller web series set to premiere on May 15, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video. Set against the high-pressure world of competitive exams, the story follows Jhansi (Dushara Vijayan), a determined young woman who adopts a fake identity to uncover a dangerous paper-leak racket. As she digs deeper, she exposes widespread corruption and systemic flaws, highlighting the intense pressure, moral dilemmas, and inequalities faced by aspirants.

Kaalidas 2 is a Tamil crime investigative thriller written and directed by Sri Senthil, serving as a standalone sequel to the 2019 film Kaalidas. Bharath reprises his role as Inspector Kaalidas, who investigates a series of strange and eerie murders that begin with the disappearance of a child from an apartment complex. Teaming up with a rookie IPS officer, he follows a trail that leads to a mysterious mastermind named Stephen, turning the case into a dark and intense battle between justice and revenge. After its theatrical run, the film premiered on multiple OTT platforms on May 12, 2026. 

Set in a remote Andhra Pradesh village in 1996, this film captures a time when a single television was a prized possession and a symbol of status. When a villager brings home a TV with a satellite dish, it becomes the center of attention, until it mysteriously goes missing. The incident creates chaos and suspicion across the village, drawing a local outcast and a young boy into the search. As they investigate, hidden politics and social tensions within the community begin to surface, ultimately changing the village dynamics. After its theatrical run, the film is set to stream on Aha Video from May 15, 2026.
