It narrates the story of a young man named 'Rameshan' is a poet and college lecturer  who lost his hope in arranged marriage after his ex-wife who cheated him on the first night of the wedding. To be honest, Rameshan was really disappointed when he discovered that there was no love ‘at first sight’, in fact there was no love at all. He lost trust among people who they are close to him. Although he wants to have a new partner in his life, the experience of losing his hand once is pulling Rameshan back. After a long wait time, he falls in love again with a girl named Padmini, who calls him teasingly. Like a feel-good drama, Padmini which explores the themes such as romance, desire, infidelity and happiness. 

Padmini is helmed by Senna Hegde, which stars Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Madonna Sebastian, and Vincy Aloshious in the main lead roles. The film marked fourth directorial venture director Senna Hegde after his National Award Winning movie 'Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam'. It also marked actor Kunchacko Boban's comeback to the industry in the role of romantic hero after long years gap. Written by Deepu Pradeep, Padmini is a complete comedy entertainer. Produced by Suvin Varkey along with Prashobh Krishna, music is by Jakes Bejoy and editing is Manu Antony. The cinematography is handled by Sreeraj Raveendran.
