Ponies: Person of No Interest is a Cold War–era spy thriller series on Peacock, premiering in January, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson. Set in 1977 Moscow, the story follows two embassy secretaries whose lives change after their husbands’ mysterious deaths, leading them to be recruited by the CIA. Labeled as “PONIES” (Persons of No Interest) by the Soviets, they secretly become key operatives while uncovering a dangerous conspiracy.

Ponies: Persons of No Interest stars Emilia Clarke as Bea, an over-educated, Russian-speaking daughter of Soviet immigrants, and Haley Lu Richardson as Twila, a fearless and abrasive small-town girl. The supporting cast includes Adrian Lester, Artjom Gilz, Nicholas Podany, Petro Ninovskyi, and Vic Michaelis. The Cold War spy series is created by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson.

The Cold War spy thriller series Ponies starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson premiered on January 15, 2026 on Peacock in the United States, where all eight episodes were made available to stream from day one. In India, the series began streaming on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium) on January 16, 2026, also with all episodes released at once. 

Set in 1977 Moscow, the story follows two American women whose lives change after their husbands, who were secretly working for the CIA, die in a plane crash. Bea (Emilia Clarke) is smart and speaks Russian, while Twila (Haley Lu Richardson) is bold and fearless. Instead of going back home, they decide to continue their husbands’ work. The CIA recruits them because they are seen as PONIES (Persons of No Interest), meaning the enemy won’t suspect them.
