Raja Shivaji OTT Release: When And Where To Watch Riteish Deshmukh’s Historical Drama Online

Raja Shivaji is a 2026 Indian historical epic action-drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the legendary founder of the Maratha Empire. Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role, the film was released in theatres on 1 May 2026 in both Marathi and Hindi. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt as Afzal Khan and Abhishek Bachchan as Sambhaji, along with a strong supporting cast, bringing this grand historical story to life on screen. 

Raja Shivaji features Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, alongside a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt as Afzal Khan, Abhishek Bachchan as Sambhaji, and Genelia Deshmukh as Saibai. The film also stars Bhagyashree as Rajmata Jijabai, Vidya Balan as Badi Begum, Fardeen Khan as Emperor Shah Jahan, and Amole Gupte as Adilshah, with a special cameo by Salman Khan. The film is written and directed by Riteish Deshmukh along with Ajit Wadekar and Sandeep Patil, and is produced by Genelia Deshmukh and Jyoti Deshpande under Mumbai Film Company and Jio Studios. 

Made on a grand budget of around ₹75 crore, Raja Shivaji turned out to be a massive box office success. The film earned between ₹114.80 crore to ₹130 crore worldwide, showcasing its strong audience appeal. Raja Shivaji is expected to release on OTT this Friday, 26 June 2026. The film’s digital rights have reportedly been acquired by Netflix, where it will be available in both Marathi and Hindi versions. While new titles on the platform usually drop around 12:30 PM IST, the official release time has not been confirmed yet.
