Robinhood Movie Story Plot

Set in the fictional village of Rudravanam, Robinhood revolves around the ruthless Sami (Devdatta Nage), a man with global ambitions in the marijuana trade. Discovering that Rudravanam grows a highly sought-after strain, Sami forcefully takes control of the village and its people to cultivate the drug. Meanwhile, Neera Vasudev (Sreeleela), the granddaughter of the village elder (Lal), is brought back from Australia under mysterious circumstances.

Enter Ram, also known as Robinhood (Nithiin), a clever thief with a strong sense of justice who sees every Indian as part of his family. Alongside India's top security agency head Janardhan Sunnipenta (Rajendra Prasad), Robinhood travels to Rudravanam with Neera, only to be drawn into Sami's dark world. As the narrative unfolds, we discover Robinhood's real motive, his emotional ties to the village, and how David (played by cricketer David Warner) fits into the puzzle. The film is a mix of action, emotion, and thrilling plot twists that build up to a satisfying climax.

Nithiin delivers a versatile performance, effortlessly switching between the shades of a witty thief, an emotional protector, and a fierce action hero. His comic timing and energy, especially in scenes with Rajendra Prasad, are major highlights. Rajendra Prasad himself is in top form, providing comedic brilliance and emotional depth.

Sreeleela, stepping into a role originally reminiscent of Rashmika Mandanna's style, does a commendable job in emotional and comic scenes, although a few moments fall short of the impact Rashmika might have brought. Devdatta Nage surprises with his powerful portrayal of the antagonist Sami, combining menace with subtle comedic touches toward the climax.

David Warner, though limited in screen time, makes a solid impact with his quirky expressions and memorable dialogue delivery. Vennela Kishore keeps the laughs coming with his sharp comedic presence, and Shine Tom Chacko plays a notable role, though it could have been fleshed out more. Supporting actors like Lal, Subhalekha Sudhakar, and Ketika Sharma (in a sizzling special song) add flavor to the ensemble cast.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, known for his hit entertainers Chalo and Bheeshma, Robinhood once again showcases his flair for combining humor with fast-paced storytelling. His screenplay interconnects characters and plot points across continents—India and Australia—with creative links that enhance the narrative depth.

GV Prakash Kumar’s music stands out, especially with his rousing background score and a special track on Nithiin in the second half. The songs are catchy, though only one track offers a genuine surprise element.

Cinematographer Sai Sriram captures both the rustic and modern landscapes with vivid visuals, making scenes from Rudravanam and overseas look equally compelling. The editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is mostly crisp, though some scenes could’ve been trimmed for better pacing. Production values by Mythri Movie Makers are top-notch, giving the film a grand and polished feel.

Robinhood is a full-on entertainer that blends action, humor, and emotion with a socially relevant message. If you enjoyed Chalo and Bheeshma, you’ll find this film right up your alley. It’s worth watching for Nithiin’s charismatic performance, Devdatta Nage’s powerful villainy, Sreeleela’s charm, and David Warner’s delightful cameo.
