From action to thriller to rom-com drama, the industry had delivered various genres to box-office, which are still trending. Lijo Jose Pellissery's 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam ' is a complete fantasy drama, which tells the story of a man and his transformation from a shy, tongue-tied, average little man to aggresive and powerful man. The director who used the dialogues as a powerful tool to tell the story infront of audience. He manages to convey a message to audience with his dreamy characters and their emotional ideas. Actor Mammootty who played dual role in the movie, had grabbed the cinephiles attention. On other hand, the movie captured the beauty of rural village life and emotions. The film which hit theaters on 19 January 2023, had got mixed responses from audience. It also marks first collaboration of actor Mammootty with Lijo Jose Pellissery.

Like a horror-comedy drama, it introduces many taleneted and youngest new faces to industry. Talking about characters, everyone has their share of distinct quirks and mannerisms , which make them different from others. With stellar performances and amazing story plot, the movie grabbed many cinephiles attention around us. Actors Soubin Shahir and Arjun Ashokan who perfomed very well in the movie. Apart from them, it also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Sajin Gopu, Jagadeesh Kumar, and several others in significant roles. ‘Romancham’ hit the big screens on February 3rd this year and received good responses.  As per the resources, the film collected more than Rs 1 crore in two days. It is one of the best horror comedies ever made in Malyalam cinema in recent time.

Directed by Rajeev Ravi, the film 'Thuramukham ' is a historical drama which tells the story of labour struggles during Colonialism. Based on real events, the film featured Nivin Pauly, Poornima Indrajit, Arjun Ashokan, Darshana Rajendran, and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles. The film which tells story through two generation, and reflects the political condition and issues of labour union in 1950's. Like a  historic drama, it also marks the fifth direcorial debut of film maker Rajeev Ravi. Actress Poornima Indrajith delivered brilliant perfomances in which showing frustrations and pathos of the lives of labourers and their families. The trailer was amazingly good, but the movie had received mixed response from audience.
