Before stepped into the film industry Karthik Aaryan was an engineer by his profession. He completed his engineering degree in biotechnology from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering. He started doing modelling during his college days. After completing his third year graduation, he started attended auditions for films.
He made his big Bollywood debut in 2011 with Luv Ranjan's film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Later he has been a part of movies such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Kaanchi-The Unbreakable. After then, in 2018 he acted in the film 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. Billed as a romantic film, it was the breakthrough movie in his career life. Directed by Ranjan, the film earned Rs 99.34 crore at the box office.
By playing conventional roles on -screen, the actor grabbed audiences attention from all corner. Apart from acting in success roles, he had faced faiilures in his career life. Released in 2022, the film ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ was one of the biggest failure projects in his career life. As per the reports, the movie failed to showcase the onscreen chemistry between Karthik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. But the actor believed, the failure of the movie actually helped him for getting new projects.
He is one of the young romantic heros in Bollywood and has huge fan-followers across the country. The actor is best known for his performances on rom-com films like Luka Chuppi, Akaash Vani, Love Aaj Kal and Kaanchi.
Talking about his biggest box office hit movies, 2022 release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was on the top position.The film has collected Rs 230.75 crore worldwide.While Love Aaj Kal 2 got one of the biggest openings of 2020, Sonu Ki Titu Ke Sweety crossed ₹100 crore. Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh (both 2019) were also superhits on the big screen.
As per the resources, the actor also seen in Hansal Mehta helmed ‘Captain India ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Kiara Advani. Apart from this, the actor also appeared in the lead role in Anurag Basu's ‘Aashiqui 3’,
