Spadikam Re-release: Box Office Collection of Mohanlal's Classic Film

Originally released in 1995, the film 'Sapadikam' emerged as one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of that year. The film earned Rs 8 crores at the box-office at that time. After success in Malayalam, the film was later remade in all major languages of South India like Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.

According to the latest report, the re-released version of the movie earned Rs 2.25 crores in just four days. This will bring more happiness to Mohanlal fans all over the world.

After creating buzz on social media platforms, Mammotty and Mohanlal's movies Christopher and Spadikam released on the same date and clashed at the box office. As per the reports,'Sapdikam' has earned 77 lakhs on its opening day. Regarded as a cult classic movie of Super star Mohanalal, 'Spadikam' has earned recorded more at box office collection than Mammotty's Christopher.

Directed by Veteran film maker Bhadran, 'Sapdikam' marks one of the best evergreen classic movie of actor Mohanlal. Before 'Sapdikam', Bhadran collaborated with Mohanlal in the film 'Uncle Bun'. Released in 1991, the film tanked at the box-office. After the success of 'Sapdikam',he collaborated with Mohanlal for the film 'Olympian Anthony Adam', and 'Udayon'.

With stellar performances on big-screen, Mohanlal is one of the finest actors in Mollywood. He is best known  for his classic, romantic and action hero characters. In 'Sapadikam', the actor who played an iconic character named 'Aadu Thoma'. Morethan acting, he entertained his audiences through his punch dialogues and action sequences in the film. No one can forget Thoma, because he is one of the best anti-action heros in Malayalam cinema.

Sapadikam  is one of Mohanlal’s highest-grossing films during 90's.Released in March 1995, the film ran for 100 days in theatres. With stellar cast performances of many talented actors in the industry, the film was declared as biggest  blockbuster movie in Malayalam cinema.

Released on February 9, the latest version of movie named as 'Spadikam 4'. Talking about digital make over, the remastered version is 8.5 minutes longer than the original release. In addition, a few additional shots added to latest version. As per the latest resources, the OTT release of 'Spadikam 4K' will start streaming soon.
