Sumathi Valavu OTT Release: Here Is When And Where You Can Watch Arjun Ashokan's Blockbuster Horror-Comedy

The film follows a young man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he stumbles into the eerie mystery surrounding the haunted place known as Sumathi Valavu. Drawn deeper into its dark past, he finds himself confronting unsettling secrets, spine-chilling encounters, and the terrifying spirit that continues to cast its shadow over all who dare to enter. Ultimately, his search for answers becomes a fight for survival against forces beyond human understanding.

The horror-comedy brings together a stellar ensemble cast including Arjun Ashokan, Malavika Manoj, Sidharth Bharathan, Gokul Suresh, Balu Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Sshivada, Devanandha, Sreepath Yan, Joohi Jayakumar, Jasnya K Jayadeesh, Gopika Anil, and Shravan Mukesh, among others. The film also marks the comeback of actress Bhama, who takes on a pivotal role. Directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar, the movie was jointly produced by Gokulam Gopalan and Murali Kunnumpurath.

Sumathi Valavu, which hit theatres on August 1, is having a solid run at the box office even though critics offered mixed feedback. According to the makers, the movie has crossed the ₹20 crore mark globally. Its unique mix of horror and humor has kept the audience engaged, and analysts predict that the film’s momentum is unlikely to slow down anytime soon.

Sumathi Valavu started streaming on ZEE5 from September 26, 2025. The film is available not only in its original Malayalam version but also dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu, ensuring it reaches a wider audience across India. This multilingual release allows viewers from different regions to enjoy the story in their own language, adding to the film’s accessibility and appeal.
