Teesri Begum On OTT: When And Where To Watch Emotional Social Drama Online

Teesri Begum is a Hindi social drama directed and produced by veteran filmmaker K.C. Bokadia, which originally hit theatres on May 22, 2026. The film explores hard-hitting themes such as women’s empowerment, marital abuse, and polygamy. It features a strong ensemble cast including Kainaat Arora (as Pooja/Nagma), Mugdha Godse, Zarina Wahab, Rachna Shyam, and Kevin Gandhi. Ahead of its release, the film also sparked controversy over a particular climax scene in which the husband, confronted by his three wives, was shown shouting a religious slogan out of fear in the original cut. 

Teesri Begum features a strong ensemble cast led by Rachna Shyam as Pooja Dixit/Nagma, the central protagonist, alongside Amit Gaur as Babban Khan, her husband. The film also stars Kainaat Arora as Tabassum and Mugdha Godse as Shabana, portraying the co-wives, while Zarina Wahab plays Pooja’s mother. Supporting roles include Supriya Karnik as Fatima Begum, Rana Jung Bahadur as her husband, Kevin Gandhi as Yusuf, and Atul Srivastava in a key role. Behind the scenes, the film is helmed by K.C. Bokadia, who serves as director, producer, and writer under the banner of BMB Productions.

During its theatrical run, Teesri Begum performed poorly at the domestic box office and was ultimately declared a commercial flop. According to available tracking data, the film earned just ₹0.01 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹0.03 crore over its opening weekend and approximately ₹0.07 crore in its first week. Its total lifetime collection remained around ₹0.07 crore (roughly ₹7 lakh). Teesri Begum is set to make its digital premiere on July 18, 2026. The film will stream exclusively on Waves OTT and will be available to watch free of cost for viewers. 

Inspired by real-life events, Teesri Begum is a hard-hitting social drama that explores themes of deceitful marriage and polygamy. The story follows Pooja Dixit, a naive young woman who falls into the trap of Babban Khan, a manipulative man who deceives her into marriage. After a traditional Nikah ceremony, her identity is changed to Nagma, marking the beginning of her troubled life. Her family is left shattered by the sudden turn of events, and the emotional toll proves devastating—leading to the tragic death of her father, who is unable to cope with the shock and grief.
