The 2025 Hindi film Thamma is now available for digital viewing on Amazon Prime Video. The release is happening in two phases, first through Early Access, where the movie can be rented on the platform starting December 2, 2025, and then through full streaming, which will make the film available to all Prime Video subscribers at no extra cost beginning December 16, 2025.
Thamma is a romantic-horror-comedy about Alok, a journalist from Delhi, who falls in love with Tadaka, a mysterious woman who is actually a Betaal, a vampire-like creature. As their love grows, Tadaka tries to live like a human, but the evil Betaal leader Yakshasan is set free and threatens chaos. Alok is transformed into a Betaal and must use his new powers to fight Yakshasan and save people. The film mixes Indian folklore with the supernatural world of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and features a special appearance by Varun Dhawan as Bhediya.
Thamma emerged as a blockbuster, earning over ₹200 crore worldwide. The film concluded its global box office run with a total gross of ₹211.81 crore, including ₹26.50 crore from overseas markets. It narrowly surpassed Sikandar (₹211.34 crore) and secured its position as the 9th highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025 worldwide.
