The Remarkable Story of Amir: The Inspiring Journey of Amir Dancer, Choreographer, and Bigg Boss Star

Amir, a dancer and choreographer from South India, rose to fame through his participation in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5. Born on December 22, 1992, Amir faced several challenges early in life after losing his father at a young age. He completed his schooling in Kotagiri, a small town in the Nilgiris. Despite financial hardships, his passion for dance never faded. Without any formal training, Amir practiced tirelessly in his modest tented home, nurturing his dream of becoming a performer.

Amir's love for dance was evident from a young age, and it was his mother who encouraged him, often inspiring him to dance like Prabhu Deva. Determined to succeed despite his difficult childhood, Amir dedicated himself to dance. As proof of his commitment, he danced non-stop for 7 hours, earning a spot in the Limca Book of Records. Sadly, while still grieving his father’s death, Amir also lost his mother. However, his journey didn’t end there. Touched by Amir’s passion and perseverance, Ashraf helped him establish Amir Dance Studio (ADS), making his dream a reality.

Amir participated in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5, which aired on Star Vijay in 2021. Although he was relatively unknown before the show, his stint in the Bigg Boss house brought him into the limelight. He had previously gained recognition for his choreography on Kings of Dance, and later made his acting debut in Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu (2023). He also received a silver medal at the Indian Hip Hop Championship for choreographing an outstanding performance by the ADS Kids team.

Amir was in a relationship with television actress and Bigg Boss participant Pavani Reddy. The couple made their relationship public during the shoot of the reality show Jodi: Are You Ready, where they also announced their wedding. They invited the show's judges and crew to join their celebration. According to reports, Amir and Pavani tied the knot in Chennai on April 20, 2025.
