The 2002's Aadi marked VV Vinayak's debut as a filmmaker. It starred Jr. N.T.R. as the lead in an award-winning character. He then went on to direct Chennakesava Reddy with Balaya and Dil with Nithiin. Then, in 2003, he went on to direct Tagore, a fantastic blockbuster for his favourite star, Chiranjeevi. The identical combination appeared between Legend and Akhanda, further demonstrating his ability to hit Balayya in a new dimension.
