Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai Overtakes STR's Pathu Thala At The Overseas Box-Office

Viduthalai, which featured comedic actor Soori and versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi, added to the buzz surrounding Vetrimaaran's most recent masterpiece, bringing in 3.85 crore on its first day of release. Pathu Thala, which was the most eagerly anticipated movie, was received much more warmly and made 14.3 crore in its first day at the box office.

Pathu Thala was heavily influenced by STR's prior two blockbusters, which performed well in international theatres and earned 2.50 crores. On the other hand, a director's film with a potential performer stole the audience for 2 hours and 36 minutes in Viduthalai. In the fifth day, Viduthalai overtook Pathu Thala by earning 3 crores due to the consistent attention from fans around the world.

Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai was initially produced by the RS Infotainment production company with a low budget of 4 crores, but it ended up costing 40 crores because it was worth making. With the same 40 crore budget, Pathu Thala from STR also had the loud applause of his fans blasting the theatres. In the first week of box office earnings, Studio Green and Pen Studios quickly reached their expected limits.

Obeli N. Krishna, the filmmaker of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, STR, and Gautham Karthik's Kannada remake movie Pathu Thala, grossed 24 crores in its first five days of release worldwide. In undisputed filmmaker Vetrimaaran's masterwork Viduthalai, 15.24 crores were collected internationally due to Soori's struggle and VJS's flawless character portrayal.
