Who Is Diljit Dosanjh ? Meet The First Punjabi Singer At Coachella

Diljit Doasnjh , original name Daljit Singh Dosanjh was born to Babir Singh and Sukhwinder Kaur in Jalandhar, Punjab. He changed his orginal name Daljit Singh to Diljit Doasnjh after release of his debut album Ishq Da Uda Ada in 2004. 

Diljit, is a gifted singer. He began started singing when he was  five years old. After success of his debut album'  Ishq Da Uda Ad' in 2000, he released in second album in 2004. Later then, he released another album named 'Smile' in 2005, which was a superhit and he become popular among audiences across the nation. 

He made his entry into Punjabi film industry in 2011 with 'The Lion Of Punjab'. The film was flopped at the box-office but his song 'Lak 28 Kudi Da' in the movie was a superhit. After a collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh, he stepped into the Bollywood in the year 2012.  "Pee Pa Pee Pa" song from Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya marked his  debut song in Bollywood. His another hit songs list includes Tung Tung Baje (Singh Is Bling), Proper Patola (Namaste England), Ishq Di Baajiyan (Soorma), Pant Mein Gun (Welcome to New York),Dil Todeya (Arjun Patiala), Sadda Move(Raabta) and Raula (Jab Harry Met Segal).

Apart being a singer, Diljit is an actor. He began his acting career in Punjabi films and later he made his big Bollywood debut in 2016 film 'Udta Punjab'. Directed by  Abhishek Chaubey,the film featured  Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit in lead roles. It also considered one of the finest performances of actor. His another notable performances includes movies such as Phillauri, Soorma, Arjun Patiala ang Jogi. 

Diljit  is the first Punjabi singer from India who performed at the Coachella .The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is one of the most profitable music events in the world and this  year it held in Indio, California. Dressed in all- black Tamba and Kurta paired with kundal, Diljit gave the perfect Punjabi munda vibes on the event.
