In Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Mustafa Ahmed plays Rizwan Shah, an elite Indian intelligence officer and the trusted right-hand man of Hamza Ali Mazari, portrayed by Ranveer Singh. His performance has been praised for its intensity and strong screen presence, marking a successful shift from celebrity trainer to actor. Rizwan is shown as a loyal companion and skilled spy working undercover in Pakistan, playing a key role in high-stakes missions and standing firmly by Hamza’s side.
Mustafa Ahmed, now known as a celebrity trainer-turned-actor, had a very different start to his career. At just 21, he worked in a call centre and even became the youngest team leader between 2004 and 2005, earning around ₹1 lakh per month. However, his true passion was always fitness. After a turning point at his gym, he decided to follow that path, starting with a salary of just ₹10,000 as a trainer. Over time, he built a strong reputation in the fitness industry and went on to train top stars like Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Hrithik Roshan before stepping into acting.
Mustafa Ahmed comes from an Afghani background and was raised in West Delhi. He has openly spoken about struggling with dyslexia, which led him to leave formal education at an early stage. Despite these challenges, he started working young and, by the age of 21, became the youngest team leader at a call centre, earning around ₹1 lakh per month.
Mustafa Ahmed went on to become one of India’s top celebrity fitness trainers, working with stars like Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, and Yami Gautam. He also achieved a major milestone in his fitness career by being recognized as the No. 1 trainer for Fitness First in Asia, at one point handling nearly 400 hours of training sessions in a month.
Mustafa Ahmed made his acting debut with the 2025 film Dhoom Dhaam and later became part of the Dhurandhar franchise under director Aditya Dhar, appearing in both the prequel and the 2026 sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge. For his role as Rizwan, he followed an intense fitness routine, bulking up to 86 kg and then cutting down to achieve a lean, cadet-like look. Apart from his acting journey, he also enjoys a strong presence on Instagram with over 207K followers.
