Who Is Sara Arjun? The 20-Year-Old Actress Starring Opposite Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar

Sara Arjun is an Indian actress who began her journey as one of the country’s most celebrated child artists and has worked across Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam films. Born on June 18, 2005, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, she is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun and dance teacher Sanya Arjun. 

She began modeling for TV commercials at just 18 months old and featured in more than 100 ads before turning five. Even before she could speak full sentences, she was already appearing in commercials for major brands like Maggi, McDonald’s, and many others.

Sara Arjun is set to make her debut as a leading lady in the upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar, where she stars opposite Ranveer Singh. She plays Simran, the love interest of Ranveer’s character in this high-intensity espionage drama. Directed by National Award winner Aditya Dhar, the film features a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Dhurandhar is scheduled to release on December 5, 2025, marking a major milestone in Sara Arjun’s acting career.

Sara Arjun appeared in one of the popular Clinic Plus ads as a child artist, where she played the role of a sweet, confident young girl in the emotional “Mother–Daughter” themed commercial. Sara’s expressive performance made the ad memorable, and it became one of the early campaigns that brought her widespread attention.

Her breakthrough came with the 2011 Tamil drama Deiva Thirumagal, where her heartfelt performance as a six-year-old girl with a mentally challenged father earned her widespread critical acclaim. She went on to appear in several notable Indian films, including Saivam (2014) and Ann Maria Kalippilaanu (2016). During this period, she was reportedly among India’s highest-paid child actors, solidifying her reputation as a naturally gifted performer.
