Mumbai:
The
much-hyped
Hindi
movie
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
starring
Dharmendra,
Sunny
Deol
and
Bobby
Deol
in
leads,
has
received
very
good
opening
at
the
Box
Office
in
North
India,
but
it
is
facing
tough
competition
from
last
week's
release
Yeh
Jawaani
Hai
Deewani
in
other
parts
of
the
country.
As
per
the
early
trends,
it
is
expected
to
make
a
decent
collection
on
the
first
day
of
its
release.
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
was
a
big
hit
at
the
Indian
Box
Office,
which
is
why
its
sequel
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
has
been
carrying
high
expectations
ever
since
it
was
announced.
The
movie
opened
to
a
good
response
in
the
Northern
India
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows.
Especially,
it
has
registered
70%
to
85%
occupancy
in
circuits
like
Delhi,
Punjab
and
UP,
where
the
Deols
have
a
stronghold.
But
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
has
an
average
occupancy
in
few
metro
cities
like
Mumbai,
Bangalore
and
Kolkata,
while
its
opening
response
range
from
average
to
dull
in
other
parts
of
the
country.
Trade
experts
say
that
this
response
is
due
to
the
Ranbir
Kapoor
and
Deepika
Padukone
starrer
Yeh
Jawaani
Hai
Deewani,
which
is
still
keeping
the
bells
ringing
at
the
ticket
counters.
However,
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
had
collected
Rs
6+
crores
on
its
opening
day
and
witnessed
good
growth
on
the
following
days.
Its
first
weekend
collection
had
crossed
Rs
24
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office.
Now,
it
should
be
seen
whether
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
would
be
able
to
beat
this
record
or
not.
