Anubhav
Sinha's
black-and-white
social
drama
Bheed
released
in
theatres
on
Friday.
Starring
Rajkummar
Rao
and
Bhumi
Pednekar
in
the
lead
roles,
the
movie
tells
the
plight
of
migrant
workers
who
walked
miles
from
cities
back
to
their
homes
in
rural
areas
after
a
government-induced
lockdown
was
placed
owing
to
the
presence
of
coronavirus.
Though
Bheed
received
great
reviews
from
the
critics
for
its
honest
portrayal
of
the
hard
Covid
times,
the
movie
has
failed
to
impress
the
audience.
On
the
other
hand,
Sinha's
movie
is
unable
to
perform
well
in
front
of
Hollywood
giant
John
Wick
4.
Bheed
has
only
earned
Rs
15
lakh
on
its
opening
day,
March
24.
Considering
the
stellar
performance
and
star
cast
of
the
movie,
Bheed's
collection
remains
poor.

ANUBHAV
SINHA
ON
BHEED
BEING
CALLED
ANTI-NATIONAL
Anubhav
Sinha's
movie
Bheed
was
labelled
as
"anti-India" by
a
certain
section
of
users
on
social
media
before
its
release.
Reacting
to
this,
Sinha
said,
"There
are
enough
people
thumping
their
chest
and
celebrating
it,
which
is
great"
but
someone
has
to
speak
up
about
the
issues
too.
Those
people
who
thought
my
film
is
anti-India,
I
love
them
for
being
Indians
and
I
try
to
be
better
as
an
Indian
myself...
Don't
you
criticise
your
mother?
You
criticise
your
mother,
father,
sister,
but
you
love
them
dearly.
Why
do
you
criticise
them?
Because
you
want
them
to
be
better,
you
think
they
can
be
better."
