Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Sunny Deol's recent release, Gadar 2, has achieved astounding success. The sequel to the 2001 hit movie of the same name, Gadar 2 has been doing sensational business since its debut on August 11.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprise their iconic roles of Tara Singh and Shakeena in Gadar 2. The film is continuing with its dream run at the box office in India and overseas as well.
Breaking several records, Gadar 2 has emerged as the second highest grossing Bollywood film in India of all time. On the other hand, it has become the 7th film to cross the Rs 400 crore nett club in India.
It also became the top seventh highest-grossing film of all time, surpassing Baahubali, Rajinikanth's 2.0, and Dangal's collection at the domestic box office.

The epic love saga is doing extremely well at the domestic box office and has finally crossed the Rs 400 crore mark. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film, on its second Tuesday, day 12, has witnessed a slight drop in its earnings.
The film on day 12 recorded Rs 11.50 crore net in India, taking its total collection to Rs 400.10 crore. It had an overall 24.93 per cent occupancy on August 22. Gadar 2 managed to draw huge footfalls to theatres across the country, highlighting its dominance.
Its week one collection of the film stood at Rs 284.63 crore, while it earned Rs 20.5 crore on its second Friday, Rs 31.07 crore on its second Saturday, Rs 38.9 crore on its second Sunday, and on its second Monday, Rs 13.50 crore.

Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, in Gadar 2, Tara Singh ventures into a daring expedition to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan by their army.
Sunny spoke about Gadar 2 in London
On Monday, Gadar 2's special screening was organised by the Indian High Commission in London and its cultural wing, the Nehru Centre, at Vue Cinema Leicester Square. Speaking about the movie, Sunny Deol said, "Indians all over the world are celebrating this film, I can't tell you how beautiful it is."
He added, "I never expected it to be what it was, what it is right now. I believe that every man wants his wife to be like Sakeena and every woman wants her husband to be like Tara Singh. And, the family, the way they hold on together and fight off everything, that's the basic USP (unique selling point) of the story."
