Flying
high
came
naturally
to
Ameet
M.
Gaurr.
That
was
till
the
glamour
bug
bit
the
aviator
and
he
touched
down
on
Bollywood
ground.
Now,
the
winner
of
the
Best
Male
Model
in
the
Bollywood
Fashion
Award
(New
York),
is
aiming
for
newer
skies
with
his
debut
film
Fear
ready
for
release.
The
pass-out
of
Tyler
International
School
of
Aviation
(Texas
),
was
born
and
brought
up
in
Mumbai.
He
spent
four
years
in
the
fashion
industry
walking
the
ramp
for
big
names
like
Manish
Malhotra,
Aki
Narula,
Tarun
Tahiliani,
Hemant
Trivedi,
Vikram
Phadnis
and
Rocky

The
newcomer
tells
us
about
his
scary
debut
film,
and
his
switch
from
flying
to
modeling
to
acting.
What
was
the
reason
behind
your
shift
from
flying
to
modeling,
and
now
acting?
Actually,
I
was
always
passionate
both
about
flying
and
acting.
But
aviation
happened
first,
just
after
college.
I
was
into
that
for
three
years
and
then
thought
of
pursuing
my
other
passion
of
acting.
So
I
returned
to
India
and
took
up
modeling,
hoping
that
it
would
act
as
a
stepping
stone
into
Bollywood.
The
idea
clicked.
I
got
many
modeling
offers,
I
walked
the
ramp
for
most
of
the
big
designers
and
even
did
shows
abroad.
And
then
one
fine
day,
I
landed
this
acting
assignment.
How
did
you
get
the
role
in
Fear,
which
will
be
released
soon?
When
Vikram
Bhatt
and
Ramesh
Shippy
came
together,
I
thought
it
would
turn
things
in
my
favour.
Vikram
is
known
for
giving
newcomers
a
break
and
that
was
the
reason
I
felt
like
giving
it
a
try.
My
friend
Hussain
who
is
the
executive
producer
of
the
film
introduced
me
to
the
director,
we
had
an
informal
chat
and
then
another
informal
meeting
with
Ramesh
Sippy.
Then
I
got
the
offer.
What
is
your
role
in
the
film?
Fear
is
a
supernatural
thriller.
I
play
Dev
Malhotra
who
is
a
business
executive.
The
story
is
about
how
a
girl
comes
into
his
life
and
everything
goes
haywire.
The
duo
then
fights
against
the
supernatural
entity.
It
is
a
scary
movie,
in
fact,
very
scary.
Cast
opposite
me
is
a
newcomer
from
Bangalore,
Alisha.
She
is
a
sweet
person
and
it
was
fun
working
with
her.
How
has
your
experience
been
so
far
in
the
industry?
I
believe
that
nothing
in
life
comes
easy.
But
I
can't
categorize
my
experience
so
far
as
sweet
or
bitter.
It's
all
about
waiting
for
the
right
opportunity
to
come
your
way.
People
have
been
nice
to
me
and
helped
me
a
lot.
So
to
date
it
has
been
a
fairly
good
experience.
And
hopefully,
by
next
week,
I
will
be
signing
another
film.
So
are
you
here
to
stay
in
cinedom
or
will
you
go
back
to
modeling?
Modeling
is
in
the
backseat
for
me
now.
I
always
wanted
to
act
in
films,
so
I
am
definitely
here
to
stay.
What
are
your
expectations
from
Fear?
I
have
seen
the
movie
in
bits
and
pieces
and
I
got
goose
bumps
watching
it.
Even
though
I
have
acted
in
the
movie
and
was
well
aware
of
the
scene,
it
is
certainly
scary.
The
audience
is
bound
to
feel
the
jitters.
Vikram
Bhatt
has
made
a
nice
movie
and
I
am
sure
it
will
do
well
at
the
box-office.
Out
of
the
three
professions
you
have
been
into,
i.e.,
flying,
modeling
and
acting,
which
one
has
given
you
utmost
pleasure
and
satisfaction?
As
I
said,
movies
and
flying
are
my
passions.
My
tenure
as
an
actor
is
not
much.
I
did
flying
for
three
years
so
it
would
be
unwise
to
compare.
All
I
can
say
is
that
flying
is
an
experience
which
takes
you
to
a
different
high
all
together.
Acting
is
the
other
passion
in
life.
Of
all
the
designers
you
have
walked
the
ramp
for,
with
whom
did
you
have
the
best
experience?
I
have
worked
with
a
lot
of
designers,
to
rank
them
would
not
be
wise.
But
still
if
you
insist
I
would
say
I
want
to
work
with
Manish
Malhotra,
Rocky
S
and
Hemant
Trivedi.
I
love
their
designs
and
even
share
a
good
rapport
with
them.
You
are
a
very
adventurous
and
sporty
guy,
which
sport
is
your
favorite?
I
have
played
volley
ball
at
the
national
level.
I
even
played
football
and
cricket.
I
need
to
play
something
or
the
other,
can't
live
without
sports.
But
I
don't
want
to
become
a
gym
boy,
with
bulging
muscles.
What
are
you
passionate
about?
Flying
and
acting,
only.
