Anuskha Sharma Keeps Her Fingers Crossed

Actress Anushka Sharma is all set to join the cast of the upcoming movie Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka. She is very excited about this and is looking forward to the experience. "I am really excited and looking forward to join the crew of Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka," she said.

Bombay Velvet brings forward a new on screen couple together. The audience are looking forward to see the charming Kapoor boy romancing the bubbly Anushka for the first time in a movie. Bombay Velvet is directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

Anushka was last seen in the film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. She says that she always wanted to workwith Anurag. Anushka is very happy that her dream has come true. "I have always wanted to work with Anurag and I am glad that I am going to be a part of his biggest celluloid dream. I am sure it is going to be an unforgettable experience. Fingers crossed," she said.

Anushka will be shooting for 40 days in Sri Lanka to complete her first schedule. Bombay Velvet is set in Mumbai and the story covers 1950s to 1970s. It is the first film of a trilogy on how the city became a metropolis. The film is co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantom Films. Bombay Velvet is expected to hit the theatres in 2014.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

This was Anushka's debut film and she got an opportunity to star opposite superstar Shahrukh Khan in her very first film. She plays the role of Tania who is married to Suri (played by SRK) in the movie. The couple sizzle in the dance competition in the film.

Badmaash Company

In this crime comedy movie, Anushka is cast opposite Shahid Kapoor. Shahid plays Karan in the movie and meets Bulbul (Anushka) and they start a smuggling business together along with other friends. The two fall in love eventually.

Band Baaja Baaraat

This movie stars Ranveer Singh along with Anushka. The two were acclaimed for superb performance in the movie where play the roles of wedding organisers. The romantic movie leaves everyone impressed with the performances and chemistry. The movie had dil, dance and dhamaka.

Patiala House

This movie features Akshay Kumar in the lead role opposite Anushka. This sports drama film focuses more on Akshay who plays the role of Gattu. The two have very less romance in the movie because Gattu is very shy guy who speaks little.

Ladies vs Ricky Bahl

In this movie, Anushka is not the only lady of course. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Ricky Bahl who cons women but finally falls in love with Anushka Sharma who was set up with him. The two share the screen for the second time.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Anushka is cast in Shahrukh movie again but this time she is not his lover. Akira played by Anushka in the film falls in love with Samar(SRK) but comes to know he is already in love with Meera(Katrina). Nevertheless, the two look good together.

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

This is political satire film. It stars Anushka Sharma opposite Imran Khan for the first time.

This is an upcoming Bollywood movie which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It stars Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan. We have to wait and watch to see how the couple look together.
