Actress Anushka Sharma is all set to join the cast of the upcoming movie Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka. She is very excited about this and is looking forward to the experience. "I am really excited and looking forward to join the crew of Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka," she said.
Bombay Velvet brings forward a new on screen couple together. The audience are looking forward to see the charming Kapoor boy romancing the bubbly Anushka for the first time in a movie. Bombay Velvet is directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
Anushka was last seen in the film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. She says that she always wanted to workwith Anurag. Anushka is very happy that her dream has come true. "I have always wanted to work with Anurag and I am glad that I am going to be a part of his biggest celluloid dream. I am sure it is going to be an unforgettable experience. Fingers crossed," she said.
Anushka will be shooting for 40 days in Sri Lanka to complete her first schedule. Bombay Velvet is set in Mumbai and the story covers 1950s to 1970s. It is the first film of a trilogy on how the city became a metropolis. The film is co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantom Films. Bombay Velvet is expected to hit the theatres in 2014.
