Ace filmmaker Karan Johar is all set for his debut negative role in Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film Bombay Velvet. This gave us an idea, what if directors turn to acting? It's become quite common for actors to turn into directors but apart from Farhan Akhtar, there are not many people who have switched from acting to direction.

Karan's first movie appearance was over a decade-and-half ago in the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Then he did cameos in Om Shanti Om, Luck By Chance and Kal Ho Na Ho among others. Karan will be seen as a rich businessman who plays a crucial role in Ranbir Kapoor's life in the film, with shades of grey. The movie was initially set to clash with P.K but now the release date has been rescheduled and the movie will be releasing on November 28th.

So with Karan johar's debut happening any moment, we thought of listing out those directors who can jump into acting. who knows, may be even before Karan's movie releases, other directors may take a cue and debut sooner. The criteria is based on a number of different things, as its not easy to be an actor. Punit Malhotra

Punit is good looking, has six pack abs, and is totally drool worthy, This boy can easily be an actor, not just any actor, he can easily be a hero and trust me, he'll be a superstar. Rather than casting flop actor Imran Khan in his movies, he can choose to launch himself.

Imtiaz Ali

A small haircut will change the whole look of this director, and he can easily get into acting. With hit movies like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Highway, he can surely charm us with his acting as well.

Remo D'Souza

He has a killer body, he dances like Hrithik, what more do you want? He definitely has all the qualities to be an actor! He may not be conventionally good looking, but he can make woman easily swoon towards him.

Even before we could list him, Anurag Kashyap spotted the budding actor and cast him in his movie Bombay Velvet. We have already seen him dance, so let's see how well Karan can act.
