Drona to hit the theatres next summer

Just last weekend we had told you about the climax sequences of Goldie Behl's Drona, being shot at Sambhar Lake, on the outskirts of Jaipur. The SFX extravaganza, featuring Abhishek Bachchan (in the title role) and Priyanka Chopra playing his bodyguard, is a keenly awaited project.

The release date of Drona has been a matter of debate. It was first publicized as a 'Diwali' 2007 release, but then there was a buzz that it was still a 'Diwali' release, but in 2008! While both the dates turned out to be the figment of some fertile mind's imagination, here is the actual position, straight from the distributors' mouth. As per EROS International, which has the worldwide rights of Drona, for a hefty price, the film is all set to hit the screens on 27th June 2008.
