Says a source attached to the film, "Raghav was even offered Haal-E-Dil but he refused since he didn't find the role meaty enough. For Tum Milo Toh Sahi he has given a go ahead but the fact is that yet again it is not for the main lead part. He has a guest appearance in the film and that's about it."
Announcement of Raghav Sachar in the film's cast lead to murmurs that Rehan Khan, the youngest lead in the film which stars seniors like Nana Patekar and Suniel Shetty, may have been shown the door to accommodate the composer/singer. How far is that true?
"The film's shooting has been on for close to a month and I am talking to you while getting ready for the next shot. I guess that's all I can say and I don't wish to comment on anything more than this. You may better speak to my producer Nikhil Panchammiya", answered Rehan when questioned about his status in the film.
On contacted, Nikhil Panchammiya, producer of Tum Milo Toh Sahi was more forthcoming about the film's cast and their standing, "My film has six main leads - Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Suniel Shetty, Vidya Malvade, Rehan Khan and Anjana Sukhani. Yes, Raghav does make his debut in the film but in a guest appearance. He plays himself in the film."
But why is it being widely proclaimed that the film is a 'hero launch pad' for him? "I guess the article which stated so was misleading", clarifies Panchammiya, who in the past has produced films like Anthony Kaun Hai? and Dil Maange More. "Sometimes you say something but it is interpreted differently. It's not true that Raghav sees any main lead launch per se with Tum Milo Toh Sahi. Yes, he is a part of a love triangle of sorts that involves Rehan and Anjana but that's about it," he added.
Directed by Kabir Sadanand, who had made his debut as a director with Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jaayo 4 years back, Tum Milo To Sahi is looking at a November release this year.
