Kalki Koechlin in My Friend Pinto

Sometime ago there was speculation that Shraddha Kapoor (daughter of Shakti Kapoor), who made her debut in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti, was to be in the lead role opposite Prateik Babbar, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali production, My Friend Pinto. However, it seems like there has been a change of cast now.

Kalki Koechlin, the seductive Chanda from Dev D, will now be the lead actress of My Friend Pinto. Kalki confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I am doing My Friend Pinto. In fact it was director Raghav Dar's idea to cast me in the film, and he was the one who initially recommended me to Sanjay."

She further adds, "Though right now it's still too early to give out much of the film, we will be starting the shoot schedule by this month end. The film is a comedy, and I liked the script as it was quirky and funny and hence I said yes to it."
