Suraj Pancholi's mother says Jiah Khan was mentally disturbed

Mumbai: Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan has time and again told media that how her daughter got abused by Suraj Pancholi, who was Jiah's boyfriend. But this time it's Suraj Pancholi's mother Zarina Wahab who has come to her son's defense and said that Jiah Khan was mentally unstable.

Zarina Wahab told a news channel that her son is innocent and she is proud of him. Zarina said that Suraj fell in love with a girl who was mentally disturbed. He was in no position to support her. She also said that Jiah was definitely a wrong girl for her son. But if he is guilty, he will be punished.

Zarina Wahab further added, "Our houses were close by. She used to drop by sometimes. So where's the question of being in a live-in relationship here? I'm proud of my son and even now I believe that my son is innocent - because I have brought him up."

Suraj Pancholi is in Mumbai Police custody till June 27.
