Zee Cine Awards 2014: Dhanush, Vaani Kapoor Bag Best Debut Actors Awards

Southern star Dhanush, who delivered a terrific performance in his first Hindi Debut film Raanjhanaa, won the Best Male Debut Actor Award in Zee Cine Awards 2014. Raanjhanaa had got a phenomenal response from both the audience and critics in India, upon its initial release. The film's overall collection was 120 crores and Dhanush was the centre of attraction of the film.

Vaani kapoor, who did a prominent role in the Yash Raj Film Shuddh Desi Romance, bagged the Best Debut Female Actor award in Zee Cine Awards 2014. For Dhanush and Vaani, this is the second award they bagged this year for their performance in Raajhana and Shuddh Desi Romance respectively.

Their first award was Filmfare Awards which is one of the most prestigious awards in the country. After winning the award, Dhanush famously commented, "I have done 25 films and this is my first debut award."

Vaani Kapoor happened to debut with YRF's series named ‘Rajuben' and having impressed with her performance in the series, Yash Raj offered a three film deal to her.

She is currently busy shooting for the Tamil and Telugu remakes of Band Baaja Baraat. We hope that both Vaani and Dhanush have bright future ahead in Bollywood and more films coming their way.
