However, fresh controversy has hit the film as a demand to ban the screening of Hate Story 2 has come up at the Karnataka Assembly.
The movie Hate Story 2 has a couple of bold scenes which according to a JDS member can instigate gullible minds to commit crimes against women including rape.
"Screening of Hate Story 2 should be stopped for some bold scenes in the film which affects gullible minds to commit crimes against women including rapes," said YSV Datta.
During a debate on the increasing cases of rapes in the state, Datta put forward the above mentioned demand and added that the CM and State Home Minister should order police to examine the bold scenes in Hate Story 2 and take necessary action.
In response to which State Home Minister, K.J. George has reportedly asked the police to do the same and submit a report about the movie, based on which necessary actions will be taken.
It is to be mentioned, the film Hate Story 2 directed by Vishal Pandya has been in controversy since the Censor Board pointed out certain scenes in the film as too bold and hence, the makers had to edit some portions.
The film Hate Story 2 features Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali and Sushant Singh.
