Tollywood's
veteran
actor
Venkatesh
Daggubati's
latest
outing,
his
debut
web
series
'Rana
Naidu',
with
nephew
Rana
Daggubati,
hit
the
OTT
giant
Netflix
India
on
March
10.
The
web
series,
which
is
a
family
crime
drama
met
with
a
severe
backlash
from
the
viewers
who
were
forced
to
watch
the
most
unnecessary
bold
content
laden
with
redundant
cuss
words.
The
expectations
were
high
on
Rana
Naidu
not
just
because
it
marked
Venkatesh's
maiden
OTT
appearance
in
a
web
series
but
also
the
reason
that
he
is
coming
together
for
the
first
time
with
his
nephew
Rana
Daggubati.
The
'Babai-Abbay'
duo,
although
honest
with
their
performances,
couldn't
enthrall
the
viewers
of
all
ages
and
tastes
like
earlier.
However,
the
topic
of
Venkatesh's
remuneration
has
surfaced
on
social
media
platforms
after
the
release
of
Rana
Naidu,
wondering
people
what
might
have
it
taken
for
the
veteran
actor
to
sign
this
series.
Reportedly,
Venkatesh,
who
takes
about
Rs
10
Crore
for
a
project
as
remuneration
was
paid
Rs
12
Crore
for
Rana
Naidu.
Rana
Daggubati,
on
the
other
hand,
was
paid
about
Rs
8
Crore
for
his
character.
During
the
promotions,
Venkatesh
and
Rana
have
warned
the
viewers
to
watch
separately,
as
a
disclaimer.
