OMG! Rajkummar Rao Slapped Vidya Balan?

Guess what just happened? You heard it right! Citylights actor Rajkummar Rao slapped Hamari Adhuri Kahani actress Vidya Balan.

Ok, now before you start having a panic attack, let me just clear the air and reveal that it was not some controversial fight but for a scene in their movie, Hamari Adhuri Kahani.

The actors were filming a domestic violence scene which required Rajkummar to slap Vidya, instead of pretending to hit, the actor actually ended up slapping her in real.

A source revealed, "Rajkumar plays Vidya's husband in the film. While the slap was part of the script, no one was expecting him to actually hit her. Usually, when it comes to actions such as these, actors just shoot make-believe scenes. The camera makes it all look real. So, when he slapped her for the first time, everyone was shocked."

Director Mohit Suri too confirmed, "I actually jumped out of my seat, but then I realised that Vidya was holding the scene well. That's when it donned on me that both the actors had planned this in advance to make the scene look authentic."

The scene required three retakes, which led to Vidya getting slapped thrice.
