Sonu Nigam Gets Slammed By Twitterati For Comparing 'Azaan' To 'Gundagardi'

Sonu Nigam's Twitter rant about the 'Azaan' and 'forced religiousness', draws flake from the Twitterati.

Popular Bollywood singer, Sonu Nigam says, he was forced to wake up early, because of the morning 'azaan' that was being played on a loudspeaker. The singer wasn't much pleased with this practice of playing religious prayer on loudspeaker and started ranting about it on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

He wrote, "God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India."

As expected, his one tweet was enough to raise many eyebrows and within an hour, tweeple began slamming the singer for his tweet.
