VIDEO: Singer Sonu Nigam & His Team Attacked In Musical Concert, Rushed To Hospital
Singer Sonu Nigam was attacked by Janab Uddhav Thackeray MLA Prakash Phaterpekar and his goons at a music event in Chembur, Mumbai. A video of the incident has been doing the rounds on social media.
During a music event in Mumbai's Chembur suburb, Sonu Nigam and his team were manhandled by a member of Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena party. The incident took place when the local MLA, believed to be associated with the party, misbehaved with Nigam's manager Saira.
The MLA's son wanted to take a photo with Sonu and, as a result, they ended up on stage. However, the man then asked Sonu's manager to leave the stage, and when Sonu was getting down from the stage, the man pushed him onto the backstage steps.

According to witnesses, Sonu's bodyguard intervened and shielded the singer from the assailant. The bodyguard took the push from the man and fell off the stairs, and the assailant tried to grab Sonu again. To protect Sonu, Rabbani Khan, Sonu's friend and singer and the son of Sonu's mentor and guru Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, tried to stop the assailant. The aggressor pushed Rabbani, who also fell seven feet off the stairs and onto the ground.

SONU NIGAM HASN'T FILED ANY COMPLAINT AFTER GETTING ATTACKED
Fortunately, Sonu did not sustain any injuries, but Rabbani and the bodyguard were taken to the hospital for an X-ray to determine if they had sustained any fractures, according to an ETimes report.
The incident has caused outrage among Sonu's fans and the music industry. Many have condemned the behavior of the MLA and his associates, and some have demanded that the party take action against those responsible. So far, the Kal Ho Naa Ho singer hasn't yet filed any complaint in the matter.
For the unversed, the incident took place when Sonu Nigam was performing at the finale of a four-day-long festival. It's being said that the event was a famous cultural festival where some other well-known names from the singing industry too have performed in the past.
