Cal Rein has worked with and been directed by Jean-Claude Van Damme in Soldiers. In Police Under Fire he played the lead role as Australia's Most Wanted 'Mad Max'. At a young age he made a short film about the Ned Kelly Gang for a school project.
It was while playing the role of the famous outlaw Ned Kelly that he first realized he wanted to be an actor.
In the mid 90's he worked in broadcasting and later at Warner Bros. Movie World. He went on to host a variety of events and was the official pageant host for the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia.
His first acting role was in the controversial Metal Skin directed by Geoffrey Wright. Television guest roles in Neighbours , Blue Heelers and Stingers. Rein had the recurring role as multiple characters in the comedy TV series Shark Bay.
He studied with acting coaches John Orcsik, Ken James, Kim Krejus and Louise Talmadge. Rein moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and studied at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio.
