The
film
has
been
set
in
contemporary
Germany,
where
a
man
recounts
the
story
of
his
erotic
awakening
in
a
covert
love
affair
with
an
older
woman
in
the
wake
of
WWII.
According
to
Variety
magazine,
the
shooting
for
the
movie
begins
in
Berlin
late
September.
Published
in

US
by
Pantheon,
'The
Readers'
was

international
bestseller.
Minghella
and
Pollack
have
acquired
rights
to
adapt
it
into
a
movie.
The
film
will
mark
the
reunion
of
Kidman,
