Injured Kim Kardashian performs at 'Dancing With The Stars'

Actress Kim Kardashian, who is busy filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has made it clear that her injured foot will not affect her ability to compete in Dancing With The Stars. Kim is one among 13 competitor in the top-rated dance contest, premiering on September 22.

Some press outlets had reported that Kim was injured and she would not be able to attend the dance competition. In her official website www.kimkardashian.com, she makes it clear, "I was checking emails in my hotel room and placed my computer on a mirrored desk. There were parts of the glass mirror that were cracked, and when I finished up my work and got up, my foot rubbed against it and it sliced it open."

"As it was pretty bloody, I was rushed by an ambulance to an emergency room nearby and had it checked out! I did not end up getting stitches because it will actually slow the healing process down—and I need to do whatever is safest but fastest healing wise. So, my doctor just "dermabonded" it—basically surgically gluing it back together and keeping it bandaged up!" she adds.

Kim Kardashian will compete with Susan Lucci, Lance Bass, Brooke Burke, Cloris Leachman, Toni Braxton, chef Rocco DiSpirito, Cody Linley of Hannah Montana, comedian Jeffrey Ross, Ted McGinley, NFL champ Warren Sapp and Misty May-Treanor the top-rated dance contest, premiering Sept. 22.
