and

bagging
Best
Actress
for
her

in
Julia,

Hunger,
which
tells
the
story
of
Irish
Republican
Army
hunger
striker
Bobby
Sands,
won
the
Best
Film
honour
at
the
event
in
the
U.K.
capital
on
February
1.
Pat
Shortt
was
awarded
Best
Actor
for
his
role
in
'Garage",
and
shared
it
with
Michael
Sheen,
for
Frost/Nixon.
Filmmaker
Mike
Leigh
was
given
the
Alexander
Walker
Special
Award
for
his
contribution
to
the
British
film
industry.
Sally
Hawkins,
who

in
Leigh's

won

award
