Britney Spears Opens Up On Her Divorce With Sam Asghari: I Have Been Playing It Strong For Way Too Long

However, the renowned singer is now making the headlines for an unfortunate reason as she is set to part ways with her husband Sam Asghari.

For the uninitiated, Britney and Sam tied the knot in June 2022 after dating each other for 5 years. The reports about the trouble in their paradise have been doing the rounds for a while now. And now, Britney Spears has confirmed the news of her divorce and shared a heartfelt note.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Britney shared a video of herself wherein she was seen shaking a leg wearing a black top, neon green bikini bottoms, and black knee-high leather boots. In the caption, she confirmed the news of divorce and emphasised that while she and Sam aren't together now, she didn't want to explain the reason for their break up.

She also emphasised that while her Instagram seemed perfect, it has been far away from reality. However, she can't take the pain anymore. "I've been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it's far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I've always had to hide my weaknesses," she added.

To note, Britney's post came just two days after Sam filed the divorce petition citing 'irreconcilable differences'.

Meanwhile talking about the work front, Britney is currently working on a book that she is quite excited about. The insider shared that the singer is "focused on her book release, has an upcoming writers' camp and is getting songs from some big artists."
