Britney Spears-Sam Asghari’s Divorce Turns Into Custody Battle: Singer REFUSES To Let Go Of Their Pet Dogs

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's divorce case is all over the headlines these days. The star couple is parting ways after just 14 months after their wedding. For the uninitiated, Britney and Sam tied the knot in June 2022 after dating each other for 5 years. And while the duo has confirmed their separation, the divorce battle seems to be turning into a custody battle.

According to a report published in Daily Mail, Sam, in his petition has requested Britney to pay spousal support along with covering his legal fees. This isn't all. Sam has also reportedly asked for separate issues and various items. However, Britney fears that it could be their two pet dogs which they had adopted during their time together.

The report claimed that Britney is in no mood to let Sam have the custody of their dogs - a German Shepherd called Sawyer and a Doberman named Porsha.

"Regarding [Britney and Sam's shared] property, the most difficult part of dividing any assets will be their two dogs. But Sam gave Porsha to Britney as a present and she was the one who wanted to adopt Sawyer when they were in Maui," a source was quoted as saying.

On the other hand, Britney is more than happy to return her engagement ring to her estranged husband which apparently he got for free. "Sam can have that ring. It was free from the jeweler and she doesn't want it anymore. She has enough diamonds," the source added.

Meanwhile, as it isn't an easy time for Britney, her family is trying to be with her to support her during this phase.

Meanwhile talking about the work front, Britney is currently working on a book that she is quite excited about. The insider shared that the singer is "focused on her book release, has an upcoming writers' camp and is getting songs from some big artists."
