Who is Benny Blanco?

American record producer Benjamin Joseph Levin, who is known by his stage name Benny Blanco, was born March 8, 1988, in Reston, Virginia. He is Jewish by origin and began creating hip-hop instrumentals in his bedroom and recording his vocals over them.

He co-produced and co-wrote some hit singles in the late 2000s, after which Blanco became a big name in the music industry. In 2018, he released his debut single as a lead artist, titled "Eastside," alongside Halsey and Khalid.

Benny has worked with some of the biggies in the music industry, including Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Ed Sheeran. A few of his songwriting credits include Rihanna's Diamonds, Lizzo's Grrrls, and SZA's Nobody Gets Me.

Blanco has also been honoured with some big awards, namely the 2013 Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award in 2017. He has also been given the BMI Songwriter of the Year Award five times.

Apart from his work and collaboration, Balanco has founded two labels, Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets.
