The
Editors'
Editing
Bulls
have
been
successful
in
winning
the
champion's
trophy
of
Dr
Rajkumar
Cup
T20
Cricket
Match,
which
was
organised
by
the
Karnataka
Dancers'
Association
(KDA)
at
Kanteerava
Stadium
on
Sunday.
The
final
match
was
held
between
Directors'
11
and
Editors'
11
on
Sunday
afternoon.
The
KDA
had
organised
all
league,
semi
final
and
final
matches
at
Nagarasabhe
Ground
in
Davanagere
on
July
25.
The
eight
teams
had
played
the
league
matches
and
Dancers'
Kicha's
11,
Editors'
Editing
Bulls,
Cameramen's
Lens
Kings
and
Directors'
11
had
made
it
to
the
semi
finals.
But
the
semi
final
and
final
matches
of
Dr
Raj
Cup
had
been
shifted
to
Bangalore
due
to
the
weather
conditions
and
bad
pitch
in
Davangere
Bapuji
Stadium.
Finally,
the
semi
final
matches
were
held
between
Kicha's
11
Vs.
Editing
Bulls
and
Lens
Kings
Vs.
Directors
11
on
Sunday
morning.
The
Editing
Bulls
and
the
Directors'
11
had
defeated
the
Kicha's
11
and
the
Lens
Kings
respectively
and
entered
the
finals.
In
the
finals,
the
Director's
team
won
the
toss
and
chose
to
bat
first.
The
team
scored
148
runs
in
15
overs.
Later,
the
Editors'
team
chased
their
score
hard
and
got
149
runs
in
14
overs
thereby
winning
the
champions
trophy
in
Sandalwood
Premiere
League
2010.
However,
the
last
day
of
Dr.
Raj
Cup
witnessed
a
huge
gathering
of
50,000
people
at
Kanteerava
Stadium
on
Sunday.
R
Ashok,
Minister
for
Transport
and
Katta
Subramanya
Naidu,
Minister
for
Housing
and
IT
and
BT,
Actress
Aindrita
Ray,
Directors
Nagasekhar,
Mahesh
Babu
and
producer
Shankare
Gowda
had
turned
up
to
watch
the
final
match.
But
the
disappointing
thing
about
the
match
was
the
absence
of
popular
Sandalwood
celebs
like
Upendra,
Ganesh,
Puneet
Rajkumar,
Shivaraj
Kumar,
Neetu,
Ramya
and
Radhika
Pandit.
