The
screening
of
the
movie
I
am
Sorry
Mathe
Banni
Preethisona,
which
features
Prem
Kumar,
Karishma
Tanna
and
Sanjjana
in
the
leads,
has
been
stopped
by
director
HP
Ravindra
Das.
The
producer
says
that
despite
getting
rave
reviews
from
the
film
critics,
the
movie
has
failed
in
driving
the
viewers
to
the
theatres,
which
is
causing
huge
financial
loss
for
him.
Addressing
the
press
conference
on
Tuesday,
Ravindra
Das
said
that
I
am
Sorry
Mathe
Banni
Preethisona
was
released
in
58
cinema
halls
and
he
had
terminated
its
screening
in
48
centres.
He
added
that
he
had
to
pay
rents
to
the
tune
of
around
Rs.
40
lacs,
but
the
collections
for
the
first
four
days
was
just
nearer
Rs.
16
lakhs."
Ravindra
further
said
that
he
had
invested
Rs.
3.5
crores
and
18
months
of
hard
work
and
he
has
earned
Rs.80
lakhs
from
television
rights.
He
had
hoped
that
the
family
audience
would
turn
up
for
the
film,
but
it
was
a
financial
disaster.
"I
don"t
mind
in
losing
money.
Now,
I've
decided
to
withdraw
it
from
the
theatres
because
I
don't
want
to
suffer
any
further
loss," the
producer
added.
However,
there
is
another
reason
for
Ravindra
to
take
this
kind
of
decision.
Prem's
another
movie
Dhan
Dhana
Dhan
is
releasing
on
June
24
within
a
gap
of
one
week.
He
had
requested
its
producers
to
postpone
its
release,
but
they
are
also
in
a
helpless
condition
and
can
not
delay
the
movie.
